Hi! My name is Sara and I’m from Galicia Coruña, Spain, I’ m 19 year and I’m studying Animaciòn Sociocultural y Turística. I’m doing an Erasmus and I’ll be in Italy until June.
I enjoy traveling, spending time with my friends and family and listening to music. Also I like to help people and meet new cultures.
This is my second week in Taurisano, I share a flat with two Turkish guys and our timetable is the same.
In the morning I go to de kindergarten from 9:30 to 12:30 then I go home to eat and sleep a “siesta”. In the evening I go to doposcuola and Italian and English classes. This helps me to improve and learn new languages.
On Friday I’m going to start my Spanish course, at first there will be 5 participants, I never taught so I really want to start and help people with the language. It could be a very positive and enriching experience.
On Saturdays in the mornings alternate cooking and music classes with children. Saturday afternoons and Sundays break and make different plans with our friends.
In addition, every Sunday there are concerts and we usually go, meet people and have a good time together.
At Easter I travel with my flatmates Orhan and Emir to Naples and Pompeii. We tried all the typical food and ate at the best pizzeria in the world, “Da Michele” after waiting two hours, but it was worth. We walked a lot every day and we were very tired.
It was a great adventure! We decided it one day ago and we went without accommodation or the bus tickets bought, we improvised day by day.
We also visited some places like San Giovanni and Lecce.
We really liked Naples, its people and its culture. The transport to Taurisano is minimal so arriving on time was a challenge for us.
The people in Taurisano are very friendly and sociable, from the first day they welcomed me as one more. Language isn’t a problem because Spanish and Italian are similar and we understand and learn from each other.
I hope to continue traveling, trying pizza and ice cream and meeting new people next weeks!
