EUROPEAN INCLUSION THROUGH INTERCULTURAL DIALOGUE
KICK-OFF MEETING
From the 6th to the 8th of February 2020, the Italian organization, Fattoria Pugliese Diffusa Associazione Culturale (FPD) hosted the first international event within the “European Inclusion through Intercultural Dialogue” Network (EU-IN), which took place in Rome, Italy. The meeting was attended by 15 international participants representing 9 Institutions and 2 municipalities from 7 EU countries and MK. The main aim of the project is to spread information about EU Policies and Programmes concerning the inclusion of migrants and minorities group.
On February 7, the lead partner “Municipality of Suhindol” (BG) welcomed the participants and the EU-IN project was officially launched. The coordinator, Mr. Evangelista Leuzzi, introduced the project objectives, and opened a discussion about the distribution of roles and tasks and financial and administrative issues. The “Europe for Citizens” Programme, co-financing this Network, was also presented to the public, together with the “European Solidarity Corps” Initiative as an opportunity for young people to contributing to the integration of minority groups. A Polish and a Romanian ESC volunteers in Fattoria Pugliese Diffusa directly shared their ongoing experience in a small community in south Italy.
